NEW MINI CONVERTIBLE - THE BEST WAY TO ENJOY THE SUN
On 28 March 2009, Britain’s favourite sun-loving MINI was launched into the open.
It takes just 15 seconds to let the sun in, or keep the rain out, with a fully retracting roof which can operate with the car at speeds of up to 20 mph. Alternatively, you can create the effect of a sunroof as the full-width of the electric roof can be retracted by approximately 40 centimetres. You can also add an optional ‘Openometer’ to your convertible, which allows you to record the time spent with the roof down, so even if it’s raining, you can reminded of all the open-top fun you’ve had.
Fitted with MINIMALISM technologies, the new MINI Convertible offers dramatic improvements in fuel efficiency and CO2 emissions. The addition of the Auto Start Stop, Brake Energy Regeneration and Shift Point Display will reduce the cost to the environment and to your wallet.
And it’s as dynamic on the outside as it is on the inside. The raised shoulder line, chrome strips, low roofline and short overhangs at the front and rear denote the MINI Convertible’s sporting intent. The MINI Cooper S Convertible even has a ‘powerdome’ fitted on the bonnet, housing a large air scoop. It also has large twin tailpipes, a large diffuser in the rear bumper and a two-piece rear fog lamp which mark it out.
To brighten your car buying experience even more, we are introducing two new colours to feature exclusively on our new addition. Interchange Yellow and Horizon Blue will be added to the MINI mix along with the classic Black, Denim Blue and Hot Chocolate colours available for when you’re picking your perfect MINI.
With a whole host of other new improvements, like adjustable rear head rests, lockable chilled glove box, increased luggage capacity, air conditioning and a host of new safety features as standard, the new MINI Cooper Convertible will be available from £15,995 OTR and the MINI Cooper S Convertible will be offered from £18,995 OTR.
We can’t keep a lid on it much longer and in March, neither will you.
