As a faithful partner to the MINI brand, John Cooper Works has continued to modify and create excellent souped-up versions of MINI’s vast range of vehicles, and now the Clubman is due for its JCW appointment.
The John Cooper Works Clubman takes the versatile features of the normal Clubman model and adds a strong flavour of speed, dynamism and sporty styling with the help of the in-house tuning company.
Fitted with the four-cylinder petrol engine with TwinPower Turbo for punchy yet more efficient power output, the Clubman has 231bhp at its disposal, which can take it from 0-60mph in 6.1 seconds and on to a top speed of 147mph. This is paired with either the standard six-speed manual or an eight-speed Steptronic automatic transmission.
Thanks to the tuning expertise of JCW, this modified Clubman has been altered to provide maximum enjoyment while driving without compromising the useful nature of the estate. This includes exterior features that improve performance, such as aerodynamic body work, Brembo sports brake system and a sports exhaust system, and minor tweaks to the chassis setup to improve handling and stability.
Despite the sporty orientation for the vehicle, it doesn’t mean the cupboard is bare in terms of accessories, as the JCW Clubman is fitted with MINI Driving Modes, Parking Distance Control, cruise control with brake function and comfort access. As well as the optional MINI Connected XL, the JCW Clubman is kitted out as well as any other MINI model.
With the distinctive JCW styling options, you can have the Clubman in the recognisable rebel green with contrasting red roof and sport stripes finish and this helps the JCW Clubman stand out even more.
Prices for the JCW Clubman start from £29,345 for the manual and £30,945 for the Steptronic option, and for more information on the JCW Clubman, contact your nearest Cooper MINI Centre.
